[...] What if you don’t want them as a brand ambassador? - FreshNetworks Blog I have to admit that I have never been to an Olive Garden. In fact I only know it from an episode of Will & Grace, and only realised it was a real chain when I read an article in the Wall Street Journal yesterday. And not only is it a real chain, but it has a great and loyal following. [...]

I have to agree - I think it's better overall to not try to control who talks about your brand and what they say. They're going to do it anyway, and it's only the famous ones you're likely to find out about. After all for every one Kendra Wilkinson that you don't want to be your brand ambassador, there could be a few thousand people in towns and villages all over the country who are also not the kind of ambassadors you would choose. What you should be doing is equipping people who are positive about your brand to go and talk about it to increase the overall chatter rather than worrying about one or two brand ambassadors.

Lol, what a great question.

I think the answer is fairly simple. You do nothing but continue creating a satisfying experience for the customers you want, if a brand ambassador brings in a different segment great.

My thoughts are that the families they're trying to target probably wont know who Kendra Wilkinson is, let alone care about her. She's irrelevant. At best she'll bring attract new customers.

Or as Guy Kawasaki says: let people use your products however they want to. It's better than them not using it.
